"The End Of Dinner" by Jules Alexandre Grun
I saw this print when I was in a "Deck The Walls" store about 3 years ago. I had never seen it before and have been unable to find it in a store since. (I have found it for sale through a few sellers on the internet, though.) I stood in the store transfixed for more than a few minutes.
Why do I love this print so much? The soft light, the decor, the implications of gourmet food and wine (let's face it), and the stories that all the faces tell so vividly. One could go on and on imagining tales for all of them for hours.
Makes me want tea and biscuits and a good book.
Just thought I'd share.

WG -- I love it, too. They seem joyous and civil, all at the same time. Makes one long for another time, doesn't it?
*sigh*
