Things I Have Learned While Blogathoning

1. The longer the lead time, the better. These things are hard to advertise, and word-of-blog needs time to travel.

2. Team blog 'em. If WordGirl hadn't been gracious enough to join me for this, I'd be a stark raving lunatic by now.

3. Take shifts. WordGirl and I shifted off in the early morning hours in order to give each other a brief nap. Wouldn't have made it otherwise.

4. Diet Sunkist rules!

5. Blog ahead to allow for bathroom breaks and meals.

6. Variety is absolutely necessary.

7. Create a list of blog topics in advance to use in case you get bloggers' block.

8. When in doubt, surf.

9. Keep an eye on Technorati--promptly credit links.

10. Rest your eyes every few hours.
