I'd add beware models used by government technocrats. Need to show a certain output to support a given policy decision? Hire a bright young staffer with more ambition than ethics to tweak the coefficients, and voila, you're able to demonstrate the improbable has become the norm with the ironclad assurance of a computer printoff.
