Iran News Roundup

The Arab press largely believes the U.S. and Iran will be at war soon.

What this really means is they think America will finally strike back after 28 years of sustained aggression from Iran.

Syria may be straining under the Iranian yoke.

I think it's likelier that Assad's been given a bit more leash from his masters in Tehran so as to appear an independent force for peace in the region on the eve of Nancy Pelosi's dhimmitude tour.

The nuclear program progresses.

Don't be fooled by these progress reports. Iran is further ahead than they indicate; there is no benefit to them in broadcasting step-by-step their progress but considerable value in having the useful idiots in the West think they won't have the bomb for 10 years. The CIA of course will believe anything at this point, too occupied with feeding the Hair Helmet Hamas hostile leaks against the Bush administration to do their duty. But that's what gets you multimillion dollar book deals and Vanity Fair cover stories. So be it.

What we're seeing is the acceleration of preparations for war. Whether we actually pursue it remains to be seen. The fact is that there is no victory in Iraq of in the War on Terror without the destruction of the terror masters, and there can be no victory at all if Iran obtains nuclear weapons.
