The Triumph of Hope Over Despair
Anne Morse reminds us that women brave and noble enough to carry their babies to term even when they are conceived during rape do exist. In any sane society, their stories would be told and treasured. In ours, it is the women who slaughter their own children for convenience's sake who are exalted as feminist heroes, while those who bring their innocent babies into this world despite the horror of their conception are treated as virtual pariahs.
I suspect God comes to a very different moral judgment than our sick society does. And I thank God for the moral example these women have set for us all. One does not battle evil by performing greater evil.
From Morse's story, it is clear how grateful these innocent children are that their mothers had such strong faith and hope.
