THe closing paragraph of the quote reminds me of a discussion a few weeks back in the parish Bible Study. Some of the participants were saying the CHurch is too rigid, that sort of thing. Which as far as I can tell leads to the ecumenism where no one really believes anything.
I dropped it after pointing out that He also had unnegotiable points, as I didn't see any good in going on.
