How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Tip No. 3

Be relentlessly positive.

When obstacles arise, as they always do, figure out how to go over, under, around or through. There's almost always a way.

There's not much time in business today to brood---there's too much to do, too quickly, and too comprehensively for that.

With so many trying to accomplish so much, it simply doesn't pay to be a buzzkill.

A recent Harvard Business Review study (which I won't even try to look up, given how HBR protects its copyrights so aggressively) found what you might intuitively know to be true: given the choice between working with an affable fool or a competent jerk, people will choose the affable fool every time.

Seems pasting a smile on your face and trying to see the bright side might just gain you support when you need it most, too.
