They really slipped off the rails on this on, as I've written (links at original):
"[N]o actual witness claims the US used WP against civilians--participants deny the charge. And the photos in the Italian film (and by other anti-war activists elsewhere) supply no "hard" evidence; indeed, the film depicts casualties that could not have been attacked with WP, as Confederate Yankee brilliantly and painstakingly (and graphically) proves. Simply put, tales of mass civilian atrocities using WP are lies."
