Lost Squared
Another reminder from your friendly local Lost nerds to pay attention to the commercial breaks during the show. We only caught it after a rewind on TiVo. The logo (which looked suspiciously "Oceanic"-like) gave it away at first as a little off-kilter. But the actual message (or lack of) was the clincher.
This show is continuing to go down as my favorite of all time. The oft-times predictable dialogue is a red herring for the deeper mechanisms at work where a dazzling myriad of hidden symbols abound. I love the idea of television that actually makes you think. Even if the result is a throbbing obsession to have to watch it. We might be doing something else on a Wednesday night, but missing Lost? And not in a Survivor kind of way. Lost just hits all twelve cylinders. Sorry Probst.
Purgatory is our favorite theory. But cloning? Weird. And delightfully twisty.

The writers confirmed that it is not purgatory..or a dream. Check out the new cover story on Entertainment Weekly for lots of info, or go to ew.com.
T: Yup, on purpose. The links from that site are legit, as far as I can tell.
Marty: Yup, already read it already. The fact that the creative team is staffed with Catholic converts is interesting, despite their protests that it's "not Purgatory". I suspect some blending of religious and spiritual concepts as well as a hefty dose of sci-fi is what's going down.
