When Grieving Widows Aren't Above Reproach

When they stop acting like grieving widows and start exploiting their personal tragedy for political purposes.

Being a Gold Star mother in World War II did not entitle one to sing "Deutschland Uber Alles" down at the VFW. We are at war, and while we all empathize with those families who lost loved ones in the initial attacks, let's keep in mind that this is a war to protect all Americans---family sacrifice entitles you to some modicum of respect, but does not make you SecDef or C-in-C.

And for every Jersey Girl out there, there are many more 9/11 family members who support the War on Terror, not to mention many more military family members who've attended a flag-draped casket of a loved one who gave their lives to fight it.
