It certainly worked for WordGirl and me, although the anecdotal experience of our friends who've used it indicates not everyone is comfortable with the initial phases' emphasis on conveying one's personality through the written word.

EHarmony.com worked for us, too. I think it is a lot better than meeting someone on the street. If you use the site right, you at least know some important things about the person before you ever even communicate directly.
