BlogRoll: The Lamplighter

With Tax Day looming, isn't it about time MoltenThought added some libertarian flavor to its BlogRoll?

The Lamplighter is a great blog run by a retired naval aviator named Mike which is well-written, well-travelled, and well-regarded. Libertarians in the past have been ill-served by being too wonky and impractical; arguing any contemporary issue with the likes of say, Reason magazine writers quickly becomes an exercise in mind-numbing futility. Mike's the rarest of birds, then---a libertarian with the strength of his convictions and the good humor to put them forth absent the usual abstraction and pedantry.

Liberalism is a creature of the emotion and the heart; conservatism has ever been a beast of the gut; libertarianism's anima is pure reason. In the normal scheme of things, what chance has reason against heart and gut?
