Repeat After Me: Saddam Had WMD
Once again, the facts.
Simply put:
1. Saddam nerve-gassed Iraqi Kurds and used similar weapons against Iran.
2. Saddam spent enormous amounts of money through the Oil-for-Food program to buy off UN officials in charge of weapons inspection.
3. Saddam maintained a coterie of nuclear, biological, and chemical experts (hint: they didn't call him "Chemical Ali" because he was really into the Chemical Brothers).
4. Our troops didn't drag full MOPP gear out into the desert and don it several times in broiling heat because they figured it would pull the wool over Colin Powell's eyes.
There is simply no amount of WMD stockpiles we can point to in Iraq which will overturn this myth. The notion that cuddly ol' rape room proprietor Saddam destroyed stockpiles of weapons he had successfully used in the past for the sake of international goodwill is so laughable on its face that anyone not blinded by Bush hatred would scoff at it.
Bigtime libs like Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and John Kerry all maintained Saddam had WMD at the time too.

Of course he did. Reagan gave them to him. He even tried to make some of his own, but the sanctions stopped that.
The problem is he DIDN'T have them when Bush attacked.
And NOBODY thought he did. NOBODY! There was not one intelligence agency who felt Saddam was a credible threat. Not one. Even the CIA had to be convinced.
And if you also remember, when our troops were first entering into Iraq in 2003, they found thousands of chemical suits as well as gas masks and nerve agent antidote autoinjectors in places like an Iraqi hospital!
