The sad fact is that most Americans today do not think and act as free people. The triumph of the Left has been the steady erosion of the freedom won by our ancestors in return for an unending stream of empty promises, all reinforced by a remarkable historical and philosophical illiteracy that are the legacy of a century's worth of government education. The Long March of the Left through America's cultural institutions was completed in the 70s; we are now a people alien to our own Founding Fathers.
