Lawyers support conflict, diviseness and, when Dems are not in power, political dissension including civil disobediance. For this contribution to America, lawyers are hansomely paid (averaging over $110,000 each in 1998).
Many of them, like the criminal elements who pay for lawyer's personal prosperity, prefer preying on their society parasitically rather than working in more constructive ways. Not all lawyers can be cast in this negative spotlight, however, some become lobbyists -like Tom Daschle. It will be years before the damage Daschle now attempts can be uncovered.
