I was browsing thru google's blogger.com blogs and found yours here. I'm glad I found it because it took me long enough to find one worth reading. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only blogger in blogdom who was seriously using blogger.com. Anyway, it's ironic that you would post this article. I could have used it last week when I attempting to cover this subject in my own blog.

Teflon, thanks for sharing the very insightful article about life in the universe. String theory (likely science fiction in its own right, in my opinion) entails at least ten dimensions, mostly unseen, its adherents claim.

Perhaps we have not found extra-terrestrial life because we have thus far searched for it only within the familiar 4 dimensions.

Joshua-

We're glad you've found us, and keep up the good work at your blog---interesting stuff.

Vig-

Ever since reading "Flatland", other dimensions make my brain hurt.

Scientists enjoy mocking Christians for waiting 2000 years for the Second Coming, but we've been waiting far longer for various and sundry wise men to figure out how life began and why. Seems to me that religion still offers the best view on that score, given the meager gruel the materialists keep dishing up.

My dialog with Stephen Hawking:

Professor Hawking: "There is no evidence for intelligent design. The laws of physics and chemistry, and Darwinian evolution, are sufficient to account for everything in the universe."

Me (hand in the air): "Ummmm. Who wrote the laws of physics and chemistry, Dr Hawking?"

But, on an optomistic note, there is inferential evidence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. It's avoided Earth, hasn't it?

>optomistic< = optimistic
Grrrr. I just hate it when that happens.
