Here Comes the Other Shoe in the Iran Nuclear Drama
Proliferation to Iran's allies.
Isn't it interesting how people sitting on an ocean of oil need nuclear power?
You can bet Iran won't be sharing much with Sunni nations, but would be more than happy to help nonstate actors like, say, Hamas bring power to the people through nuclear technology.
And once they do, Iran gains plausible deniability when one of their nukes happens to go off in Tel Aviv or New York.
Nuclear deterrence simply does not work in the context of nonstate actors, and Iran's well-honed ability to plant its own intelligence officers in terrorist organizations like Hezbollah means that they can strike with impunity through their proxies, as they have done for the last 27 years.
But who cares as long as the minimum wage gets hiked, right?
