The Ayatollah Admits Iranian Interference in Palestinian Territory, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Elsewhere

Ayatollah Khamenei further reiterated that the existence of differences among the different schools of thought is natural and should not at all cause conflict, and said, "After the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the United States tried to portray it as a merely Shiite revolution while it is in effect an Islamic and Qoranic revolution, which has hoisted the flag of Islamic virtues and monotheism, introducing divine rules and the spiritual value of Islam."

He said Iran's aids and assistances to Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan, Lebanon and other Islamic countries as well as its support for Islamic and divine virtues have aroused the enemies' anger and animosity towards the Islamic Republic.

The Supreme Leader added, "Despite all the hostilities shown against Iran, the Islamic Revolution has blown the spirit of pride and honor among Muslims," stressing that Muslim nations' vigilance and enemies' defeat have today become more evident for all.
