Memorial Day

Old Glory flying over the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO

Memorial Day is not just the holiday marking the unofficial start of summer; it's the day we take to reflect on those who've given their lives to preserve our country and our liberty.

We reflect on the deeds of heroes past, but heroism is not consigned to the past.

The battlefields of the War on Terror are rife with warriors worthy of heroes past.

Jeff Emanuel spotlights just four. There stories should be read on this most pleasant and somber day.

These men cannot celebrate with us. They have gone on to their eternal reward.

As we grill and feast and drink, let's raise a glass in thanks to Michael Monsoor, Jason Dunham, Ross McGinnis, and Jason Cunningham, heroes all. Godspeed, gentlemen, and may God bless you and yours and ensure that your great deeds will never be forgotten.
