Whose Vote Counts More to the Republican Party?

Mine, as a conservative who votes in every election, or the so-called independent voter who may or may not show up at all?

Based on the utter nonsense being spouted by Republican squishes and apparatchiks, the answer is "the independent voter."

Here's the problem:

If I don't show you'd better have one of those unreliable "independents" locked in to take my place. Worse yet, I'm a reliable party-line voter, so you'd better hope my "independent" replacement is likewise willing to pull a straight GOP lever. Of course, the very fact that they claim to be "independent" is a strong indicator Democrats will get some votes from them.

Perhaps party officials ought to spend less time sucking up to the press and more time refreshing their math.
