If We're Going to Have A GOP Bloodbath, Why Not Make It A RINO Slaughter?
All we'd have to do would be to lose or replace these Senators:
Senator ACU Lifetime Rating
GREGG 78.39
LUGAR 78.02
SHELBY 74.70
DOMENICI 74.41
MURKOWSKI 73.07
COLEMAN 73.00
SMITH 72.08
VOINOVICH 71.68
STEVENS 64.45
COLLINS 52.24
SNOWE 49.12
SPECTER 44.56
thus driving the average lifetime of the GOP Senate from 80.94 to 90.46.
Cleaning house in the House GOP would sacrifice the following Congressmen:
Congressman ACU Lifetime Rating
PORTER 79.20
WILSON Heather 78.04
PRYCE 77.24
YOUNG Don 76.61
PLATTS 76.60
BILBRAY 76.50
PETRI 76.41
KING Peter 76.28
ENGLISH 76.08
ROS-LEHTINEN 75.63
UPTON 73.79
McHUGH 73.65
DIAZ-BALART Lincoln 73.40
ALEXANDER 72.80
CAPITO 72.57
LaHOOD 72.46
BONO MACK 71.46
LaTOURETTE 70.51
SAXTON 70.23
EHLERS 70.06
FERGUSON 69.43
DAVIS Tom 69.29
REGULA 68.93
BIGGERT 67.89
RAMSTAD 67.83
LoBIONDO 67.73
DENT 66.67
WALSH 66.54
JOHNSON Tim 65.71
GERLACH 62.80
FRELINGHUYSEN 62.52
SMITH Chris 61.48
GILCHREST 59.69
KIRK 56.79
REICHERT 56.00
CASTLE 53.89
SHAYS 44.83
thus driving the average lifetime ACU rating of the GOP House from 85.78 to 92.48.
12 Senators, 37 Congressman, not one of whom can be accounted to vote conservatively 80% of the time.
Lose all of them to Democrats, and the Senate would be 63-37, the House 270-165.
Bad, yes, but only as bad for the House as it was in 1981 and in the Senate in 1969, neither of which approach historic lows for the GOP.
Moreover, the leaner, meaner GOP caucus could focus on the conservative policy initiatives needed to pull the Reagan coalition back together for the next generation while the country gets a needed lesson in just what lunacy leftism is.
It would surely diminish the sting of electoral defeat to watch all the RINOs forced to find gainful employment for once.
