Bold Predictions for 2006

Here at MoltenThought, we don't bring it weak.

Here's 20 you can take to the bank:

1. Democrats will lose seats in the House and pick up a couple in the Senate.
2. Tom Delay will not be convicted.
3. Tom Delay will lose his House leadership post.
4. There will be another SCOTUS vacancy in 2006---either Stevens, Breyer, or Ginsburg.
5. The nuclear option will not be exercised in 2006 (the Senate GOP will cave first).
6. Lincoln Chaffee will win his Senate GOP primary.
7. The economy will remain strong with GDP growth in the 3-4% range.
8. The housing "bubble" will prove to have been nonsense as real estate remains strong.
9. The death tax will not be repealed.
10. Meaningful Social Security reform will not happen.
11. Non-defense spending will outpace inflation again.
12. "Scooter" Libby will not be convicted.
13. The Department of Justice will not investigate the NSA wiretap leaks to any significant degree (no indictments, no journalists put in jail for contempt).
14. Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson will be media and moonbat rock stars.
15. There will be a major scandal involving fudging of No Child Left Behind state reporting (blogs will be major venue for coverage of this, not LWM).
16. Arnold Schwarzenegger will change party affiliation to Independent.
17. Conservatives take power in Canada.
18. U.S. attacks Iranian nuclear capabilities. (Israeli Air Force lacks long-range capability to do so).
19. Leadership change in Iran.
20. Leadership change in North Korea.

And there will be no "Miami Vice, Season II" in the house bought by me. ;-)

I disagree with 16, 19, and 20.

16. Ah-nold will simply fade away. He will maintain his stance that he is conservative (small c), but will hold no further public office.

19. and 20. These leaders are too entrenched (and surrounded by UN gangster buddies) to be taken from or to give up power. Period. Look at all the trouble we've had taking out Saddam Hussein. They just dicovered another mass grave the other day and he's still getting away with scoffing and tomfoolery at his trial -- defended by a former American Attorney General.

'Course, I say this and then you *blam! blast! whack!* me out with some delicious information you have that I didn't know you had... Just like you... I think I shall dub you "Tef the Big-Brained".

The rest look good though.
